REMEMBER Festival in California is a competitive, college recruiting tournament. In order to be Competitive and considered for Recruitment the mandatory practices are vital to our TEAM's success. We can't achieve our 'goals' if we are not prepared.
THANKSGIVING DINNER: Reservations in California have been confirmed. If you have not yet done so, bring your check (made out to Sarah Worley) or cash to practice on to cover the number of people in your group who are coming to dinner. That amount should INCLUDE the player in your family: i.e. 2 parents and one player = 3 dinner reservations. The cost is $40.00 per person and this includes all taxes and tips. Remember Sarah and Maureen are coordinating this effort (thanks ladies!) and shouldn't have to be be out of pocket on this...
HOTEL INFO: The team will be staying together at the Holiday Inn Express, Indio California - their number is 760.342.6344 if you would like to book a reservation at the same hotel. We have not reserved rooms for parents. Additionally, there are several other hotels in the
immediate area {84096 Indio Springs Dr Indio, CA 92203}.
FLIGHTS: Each player and/or parent is responsible for flights. Area airports are Palm Springs, Ontario (CA), Los Angeles, Long Beach, Las Vegas and San Diego. From my experience in 2006 arriving and departing - I wish I had booked my flights in and out of San Diego - mileage may 'appear' longer but traffic is MUCH lighter and would have saved us several hours. The decision is yours. If you wish to send your player with another family - feel free to use <please don't abuse the email list> the email list for your inquiries. Arrival must be on TUESDAY (in time to make the 10pm meeting at the hotel) - departure late Saturday (medals are generally handed out around 4pm after the team's last game ) or after...
