The mission of the Worcester County United Field Hockey Academy is to raise the G A M E of field hockey in Massachusetts. G A M E represents Grades, Ability, Motivation and Exposure. Our focus is to provide a safe and effective learning environment for players including field hockey instruction as well as health and fitness training.

Gear Checklist for PRACTICE and TOURNAMENTS: (13 items that should ALWAYS be in your FH bag....)

Remember: if it is always in your bag you won't forget it!

1. FH Stick (if grass or turf/regular stick - if indoor surface(bballcourt/rubberized floor)/ MUST be an indoor stick) NOTE: the WCUGear link has Indoor Sticks for sale from Harrow.
2. FH Shinguards and two (2) mouthguards;
3. White socks AND black socks;
4. Highly recommended - FH gloves padded to protect fingers/knuckles;
5. Uniform (home-light and away-dark);
6. Spandex BLACK shorts for under skirt/shorts;
7. Appropriate sneakers/cleats (wear sneakers with treads for heavy turf or grass/non-tread that don't slide for indoor surface);
8. Refillable water bottle (with YOUR name on it);
9. Snack (fruit/carbs suggested-no processed sugar!);
10. Trainer tape if you need to be taped;
11. T-shirt/tanktop - always have 1 white AND 1 black shirt/tank packed in your practice bag;
12. Health Insurance card AND USFHA membership card.
13. FH ball to practice with.
